In her own words, Amy says, “The best way to describe myself is: loyal, fun-loving, compassionate, and a team player. I enjoy working in recovery because I can take my past experiences to help others have a more fulfilling life without the use of drugs and alcohol. I am also in recovery, and have been clean since 1985. The time I have had in sobriety has given me a chance to help others with coping skills for a sober lifestyle.”
Amy was born and raised in Colorado, and moved to the Asheville NC area in 2018. “My partner and I moved here to become foster parents,” she says, “and to help give foster children a safe and loving place to live and grow. We also hope to give them mindfulness therapies like Equine Therapy.”
Amy has had a plethora of jobs and careers over the years. Most of them include working with kids with special needs. She is also a published children’s book illustrator and entrepreneur. Her and her partner have owned a spiritual healing business since 2014, which provides holistic, spiritual healing through mediumship, meditation, and Reiki.
“I believe that we are always learning and growing,” she says. “While working here at Oasis, I have been blessed to learn and grow even more. Oasis is a wonderful place where we can show client’s how to truly care for their recovery through holistic care. I truly enjoy working to help others and I love having the chance to learn and grow with our clients.”
